From Saturday boy in a rug shop in 2001, to owner of Rugs of Petworth today, Alex's career in the oriental rug business has been driven by a genuine passion for high quality weaving, and it's place in the world of furnishings.

The trade has changed hugely in this period, with a shift to contemporary tastes in furnishing.  While Alex embraces, and innovates within, this movement, he still has a huge interest in traditional rug weaving.
